breastvest is a revolutionary item of breastfeeding underwear which was created, designed, tested and approved by breastfeeding mums. Born out of frustration with breastfeeding tops and stretched necklines, and a deep-rooted fear of exposing the postnatal tummies our babies left behind, breastvest makes any top a breastfeeding top and offers the perfect solution for breastfeeding mums who don’t want to show off their midriff. In short, breastvest has got mums covered! Designed to scoop just below a well-fitted nursing bra, breastvest is held in place by specially designed straps and comfortably covers the postnatal tummy, offering breastfeeding mums a seamless layer of support, modesty and confidence while feeding their babies. Following a raft of great reviews in print and online, a glowing recommendation from Holly Willoughby and Allison Hammond on ITV1’s This Morning, and a fantastic mum-to-mum response when it comes to word-of-mouth stamps of approval, thousands of mums all over the UK and further afield are already enjoying the benefits of breastvest. breastvest has also written itself into the history books after being featured in the acclaimed exhibition at London’s V&A Museum, Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear in 2016/2017. …

Newcastle University pregnancy research

A researcher from Newcastle University would like to speak to a small group of mums on maternity leave for a potential pregnancy research project. Are you currently on maternity leave? Were you classed as high risk in pregnancy? This researcher would ideally like to talk to women who were high risk and may have needed additional care or monitoring during pregnancy. The pregnancy research session is running on: Tuesday, April 2 from 1-3pm in North Shields. There will be refreshments and you can bring along your baby – there are baby change facilities, toys as well as plenty of space for prams and car seats. Sessions run at… The East End Community Centre, George Street, North Shields NE30 1EL – this is just off Tynemouth Road, there is free street parking right outside or it is a short walk from the Metro. If you would like to come along to the sessions, please just send me a message. And thank you – your input is so valuable. Janine x
