Family trip to Barcelona

  If you are looking for a break away with your family – Barcelona is perfect. It has city, beach and loads to explore. It’s a bit of a favourite destination of mine – the kids always have a great time which means we can properly chill as well.  It’s a really family friendly city where children are welcomed and accepted and they are often out late as parents enjoy time out of the sun to have dinner and a drink or two. Great places for families in Barcelona… Hit the beach – the sea is lovely and the sandy beach, especially during the week, is relaxed with plenty of space. The facilities are good with toilets, showers, shops, bars and cafes and it is perfect for swimming, paddling and playing. Parc Guell – it gets very busy with tourists in the summer but it is beautiful and big and there is plenty of space to explore. It is full of stunning work by Gaudi, which needs to be enjoyed. Airbnb for family trips

  Like a lot of families, a holiday together is important to reconnect with no work, no school, no routines and no schedules. To have more space when we go away and to give ourselves some options, we go Airbnb and we have fallen into a pattern of splitting our holiday with two apartments so we can explore different areas. Ever since we started going abroad in the 1990s we have stayed in small guesthouses rather than in hotels to stay in the heart of a town and this desire continued when we started going away as a family of four. Despite its critics Airbnb has made it easy for us to find affordable, spacious accommodation in different countries – and, while it still exists, we’ll keep using it because when we go away we shop locally & we eat out locally, we spend more money in the community than we ever would if we stayed in a hotel.
